An update to the LockDown Browser client for Windows has been released: version 2.0.2.09.  This release includes fixes for Blackboard Learn, D2L Brightspace, improvements to the spreadsheet handling and other minor bug fixes.

LockDown Browser for Windows and Mac - Auto Update Notice

On January 3, 2018, an update to the "Student Version" of LockDown Browser for Windows (version 2.0.2.07) and LockDown Browser for Mac (version 2.0.2.05) will be delivered to users with the Auto Update feature.  The update will occur at the start up of LockDown Browser.

The Lab Edition of LockDown Browser will NOT be affected by this update, nor will the iOS version of LockDown Browser. But you are encouraged to update Lab Edition at your earliest convenience – and are reminded that "warning" message will appear at start up if an update hasn’t occurred for 12 months.

LockDown Browser Moodle Integration Update (Version 2017110100)

An update of the Moodle extension for LockDown Browser has been released: version 2017110100.

This update removes the requirement to enable the MCRYPT PHP module on the Moodle server. 

The same LockDown Browser extension supports older Moodle 2.x systems.

Administrators can obtain the updated integration by going to Respondus.com > Customer Login > LockDown Browser.  If there is more than one server profile for your institution, be sure to select the download associated with the desired server profile.

LockDown Browser Building Block Update (Version 3.5.1)

An update of the Blackboard Learn Building Block for LockDown Browser has been released: version 3.5.1.  This update adds support for Bb Learn SaaS.  It can also be installed in Bb Learn 9.1 environments that are using Tomcat 8.

The Building Block update can be obtained at Respondus.com > Customer Login > LockDown Browser & Respondus Monitor – then select the server profile that matches the server where the Building Block will be installed.

LockDown Browser Sakai Module update version 1.0.8

An update of the LockDown Browser Sakai Module has been released: Version 1.0.8 (for SAMigo users).

This update addresses a common configuration issue and bundles the supporting libraries in a single jar file.

Campus Wide administrators can obtain the updated Sakai Module by going to Respondus.com > Customer Login > Respondus Campus Wide. The download link is called "Download lockdown module for Sakai".

LockDown Browser Moodle Integration Update (Version 2017073100)

An update of the Moodle extension for LockDown Browser has been released: version 2017073100.

This update includes a fix for displaying extended characters in quiz names in the LockDown Browser Dashboard.  The same Moodle extension can still be installed on older Moodle 2.x systems.

Administrators can obtain the updated Moodle integration by going to Respondus.com > Customer Login > LockDown Browser.  If there is more than one server profile for your institution, be sure to select the download associated with the desired server profile.
