Respondus Monitor Service Notice

On Tuesday, December 8, at approximately 11:15 pm PST (7:15 GMT Wednesday), Respondus Monitor users experienced an error message for approximately 12 minutes. Students were unable to start an exam requiring Respondus Monitor during this time; instructors were unable to access the LockDown Browser Dashboard during this time. Students with exams already underway were unaffected by this issue; proctoring results were also unaffected. The source of the problem was a database connection failure. The system recovered automatically by switching to a standby database.
