Service Outage

On Tuesday, Feb 28th, Amazon Web Services experienced a major outage with S3 (Simple Storage Services) that lasted several hours. Thousands of web sites and services were affected, including those provided by Respondus. During the height of the problem, instructors were unable to access the LockDown Browser dashboard, students were unable to download the installer for LockDown Browser, and for a shorter period of time, students couldn’t start an exam using Respondus Monitor. We were also limited in our ability to send outgoing email during the outage. Once the AWS services were restored, we were back online shortly thereafter. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We felt your pain.
