I get an error when I try to import a rich-text (.rtf) or text (.txt) file.

The “Import Questions” tool on the Respondus 4 Start menu requires questions to be formatted according to the guidelines in the Respondus 4 online help and user guide. Most importing errors are due to the incorrect formatting of questions, so carefully check the file against the formatting guidelines provided.

Also, note that some of the warning messages can be ignored if they aren’t relevant to you. For example, Respondus 4 will warn you if it plans to add a “2” to the end of a question title to prevent two titles from having the same name. If this doesn’t matter to you, just ignore the warning message.
