On Friday, April 3, at 11:15am Pacific Time, the Respondus Monitor system experienced a partial service interruption (approximately 8 minutes) and slow load times (another 5 minutes). Students performing a webcam check prior to the start of an exam received an error during the video playback step. LockDown Browser Moodle Extension Update (Version 2020022400)

An update of the LockDown Browser Moodle Extension has been released: version 2020022400.

This update, which is installed by the administrator of a Moodle server, changes the LockDown Browser Dashboard such that it will no longer append the quiz title with “- Requires Respondus LockDown Browser”.

On Wednesday, February 26, between 16:45 and 17:25 PST there was a problem starting new video streams for students taking exams that use Respondus Monitor.  Students were unaware of this issue, but for some exams during this period, the video recording began after the exam actually started.  The symptom is that exam recordings during this period may be shorter than the exam duration, or missing entirely.  The source of the problem has been identified and a solution is being

On Wednesday, Dec 18, between 8:10 am and 8:23 am US Pacific Time (4:10 – 4:23pm UTC), instructors in certain regions were unable to access the dashboard for LockDown Browser and Respondus Monitor. Respondus Monitor Slowdown

On Monday, between 7:15 and 8:20am PDT, Respondus Monitor experienced a slowdown due to a database issue. This was causing intermittent connectivity issues for instructors accessing the LockDown Browser dashboard. It was also causing slowdowns or errors for students trying to start a Respondus Monitor session.

An update of the LockDown Browser Moodle Extension has been released: version 2019100202.

This update, which is installed by the administrator of a Moodle server, contains support for iOS 13 iPads.

Administrators can obtain the updated integration by going to Respondus.com > Customer Login > LockDown Browser.  If there is more than one server profile for your institution, be sure to select the correct one before downloading the extension.
