For Plain Text (.txt) and Rich Text (.rtf) files only, in order to import segments of HTML into Respondus 4 as HTML rather than plain text, the tag [HTML] should be placed immediately before the block of HTML and another tag [/HTML] immediately after the block of HTML.

For example, the following line of text:

[HTML] CLICK HERE [/HTML] to download Respondus 4.

would view as follows when published to a course:

CLICK HERE to download Respondus 4.

Please note the [HTML] tags are intended for basic character formatting (bold, italics, underline, etc) and static web links. Complex HTML code blocks or other markup code may not import as expected.

For more extensive formatting of content such as tables and images in questions, the recommendation is to create the questions in Word .docx files for import.
