Respondus 4.0 does not officially support publishing/retrieval for Ultra courses.  Once Blackboard fully develops the necessary APIs and web services, we hope to offer compatibility.

Though not supported, our testing shows that publishing to an Ultra course does tend to succeed. But there are limitations, such as:

*  the "Additional options for Exam/Survey" with "Apply Settings" and "Link Exam to Content Area and make available" are not available. You should deselect these settings, and by doing so the file will publish to a hidden "Undeployed Tests" folder. 

* Also, Blackboard Ultra will drop several question types from the file.

*** Retrieval for Ultra courses is also not supported in any capacity. ***

For Blackboard SaaS with the "Ultra Base Navigation", publishing to and retrieving from "original view" courses tends to work, but also is not officially supported at this time.
