These instructions are for macOS 15 Sequoia. Other versions of macOS may have different instructions. For additional assistance, please see: https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/write-in-another-language-on-mac-mchlp1406/mac
1) On your Mac, choose Apple menu
2) Go to Text Input, then click Edit.
3) Click plus sign, then search for a language (such as German). Select one or more input sources for each language you want to use.
4) Click Add.
You may desire to enable the setting titled "Show input menu in menu bar," although the menu bar won't appear when using LockDown Browser.
5) Rather, to switch the keyboard language in LockDown Browser, you must use a keyboard shortcut.
The keyboard shortcuts that control the keyboard input method can be viewed by navigating to:
System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Input Sources
If you desire, you can change the shortcuts to a different value.
6) Start up LockDown Browser, access your exam, and you can use the keyboard shortcuts you've specified to switch the language.
