14 July 2025:  Some students using Blackboard Ultra are experiencing a grey screen (with no questions appearing) when starting an exam that uses LockDown Browser.

It appears to be related to a recent Blackboard update, and associated with the "release condition" for the assessment.

One option is to remove the release condition, making the exam "visible" to students.  If a release condition is required, a workaround is to:

1) Create a folder with release conditions

2) Place the exam in the folder without release conditions for the exam itself

Both options appear to prevent the grey screen from appearing.

This issue has been reported to Anthology (Case ID 06051882) and they are working on a solution.
