The iPad Edition of "LockDown Browser" (available from the Apple App Store) enables a student to use an iPad to take exams that require LockDown Browser. For exams using only LockDown Browser (not Respondus Monitor) the iPad edition is automatically enabled.
However, for exams that also require the use of a webcam (Respondus Monitor) the instructor must enable an optional iPad setting. This setting is found in the "advanced settings" area under the Proctoring section.
Note: Screen recording is not supported for iPad, so any exam that has Webcam+Screen enabled will not produce a screen recording if the student uses an iPad.
Helpful hints for best results:
- Students should place their iPad on a stand, and sit in a chair during the exam.
- Use an external keyboard
- We recommend using the iPad in vertical mode, if students will be touching the screen during the exam.
