Windows LockDown Browser version 2.0.0.06 – auto update notice

LockDown Browser version 2.0.0.06 (Windows) has been available for new installations or by using "Check for Update" since January 18, 2016.  On Monday February 1, 2016 we will push this update to student installations of LockDown Browser using the Auto Update feature.

The Lab Edition of LockDown Browser will not be affected by this update, nor will the Mac and iOS versions of LockDown Browser.

StudyMate Author Update (Version 2.5.4.00)

StudyMate Class Moodle Module Update (Version 3.0.0.00)

An update of the Moodle Module for StudyMate Class has been released: Version 3.0.0.00.

This update adds support for Moodle 3.0. The same Moodle Module can still be installed on older Moodle 2.x systems.

Campus Wide administrators can obtain the updated Moodle Module by going to Respondus.com > Customer Login > StudyMate Class Campus Wide - then select the server profile that matches the server where the Moodle Module will be installed.

LockDown Browser Moodle Block Update (Version 2015122100)

An update of the Moodle Block for LockDown Browser has been released: version 2015122100.

This update adds support for Moodle 3.0.  The same Moodle Block can still be installed on older Moodle 2.x systems.

Administrators can obtain the updated Moodle Block by going to Respondus.com > Customer Login > LockDown Browser.  If there is more than one server profile for your institution, be sure to select the Moodle Block associated with the desired server profile.

This update fixes an issue with auto-launching the browser within Brightspace; a quiz review issue with Canvas is also addressed. Mac LockDown Browser version 1.0.7.11 has been available for new installations or by using “Check for Update” since September 1, 2015.  On Wednesday September 9, 2015 we will push this update to student installations of LockDown Browser using the Auto Update feature.

Windows LockDown Browser version 2.0.0.00

An update to the LockDown Browser client for Windows has been released: version 2.0.0.00.

This is an all-new version of LockDown Browser based on Chromium (the open source code on which the Chrome Browser is based), rather than Internet Explorer.

This version is only available as a new install (or "Check for Update" from the beta version).  Earlier versions of the browser (based on IE) will receive security updates for the foreseeable future.
